One thing I have learnt through the Women’s Disciple Making Training is how to do Discovery Bible Study (DBS) and form DBS groups among women. It has been very exciting since I started with a new group of women in a village that I am focussing on. We reached out to one lady in the community that was always drinking and beating her children & husband. She wanted to join our group, and soon after joining, she accepted Jesus! When other women want to join the group, she tells them, "If you join this group, the first thing you must do is accept Jesus!"

This lady has gone through our sewing training, micro business training and is now part of a weekly savings group. She can't read and write, but her tailoring quality is the best out of all the other women. She has truly been transformed.

In addition to reaching out in the community, I have learnt the importance of identifying and developing other women as leaders. I've been walking together with one other lady that is passionate, skilled and has leadership abilities. We started to mobilize other women to read through the Bible together with us and I have seen how I have helped to ignite this lady as a new leader.

Our vision is to continue growing the Tabitha ministry in Kasama, through the main centre that can become a resource for the entire Tabitha Kasama, and then smaller groups of women meeting throughout the communities. We thank God for the building that we have to be meeting in, but because there is no electricity in the area we are trusting God for a new solar system. This would enable our tailoring training classes to be much more effective.”
