Transformation in Process

Sahel Region

One of the Women of Impact leaders in the Sahel region has been meeting with small groups of women in 2 specific villages to teach them practical skills as well as introducing them to stories from the Bible.

During every meeting before they begin their skills training, the women always starts with DBS (Discovery Bible Study) and each of the woman has the opportunity to express their gratitude to God. These women are all not yet followers of Jesus, but they are learning how to have a relationship with God. Recently, the woman leader of this group was amazed by the gratitude statements made by two women in the group:

“I give thanks to God who through your prayers healed me and it is a privilege for me to be able to come back and participate in this program.”

“The stories I learnt during the DBS time have transformed my life. My behaviour and character has changed, even my family and friend have started to see something good in me. I am no longer the same!”

We thank God for the transformation He is bringing to the lives of women through the initiative of these groups. By engaging with the marginalized women through skills training & sharing the Bible in simple ways, there is much hope to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers across the Sahel region.
